DO NOT EAT OR DRINK AFTER MIDNIGHT the night before your surgery unless told otherwise by the nurse from the surgical center. Failure to follow instructions may require your surgery to be rescheduled.
Do not wear any jewelry or bring with you any valuables. Please leave them at home or with family/friends. Everything else you bring to the facility will be locked in a locker.
If you wear contact lenses or glasses, bring a case for their safe keeping as you will not be allowed to wear them in surgery.
Bring with you a form of photo ID as well as your insurance card.
Shower the day of surgery to assist in reducing your risk for infection. Do not wear any make-up or fingernail polish.
Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing which is both easy to get on and off and will also fit over any surgical bandaging you may have. If your underwear below your waist is a cotton or cotton-blend, you may be permitted to wear it during your surgery.
